The OEM plastic charge pipe that routes pressurized air from the intercooler to the throttle body can crack or blow off at the coupling. More common on tuned vehicles but happens on stock cars too.
Symptoms
Sudden loss of boost, whooshing/whistling sound under load, check engine light, limp mode
Fix / Remedy
Replace with upgraded aluminum or silicone charge pipe. Numerous aftermarket options available. OEM plastic replacement will fail again.
