Fuel Injector Failure

The piezoelectric Bosch direct injectors develop internal leaks or fail to atomize properly. Running on failed injectors can wash cylinder walls and damage rings.

Symptoms
Rough idle, misfires, fuel smell, check engine light. Injector pulsewidth deviation codes.
Fix / Remedy
Replace all 6 injectors as a set (index 12 or latest revision). Never replace just one ? the others will follow.
