The base M3 and M4, offered exclusively with a six-speed manual gearbox, produced 473 hp and 406 lb-ft. The Competition models, paired with a ZF eight-speed torque-converter automatic (replacing the dual-clutch of the F80 generation), delivered 503 hp and 479 lb-ft.
